Azure Arc is the Microsoft hybrid and multicloud platform that seamlessly extends the capabilities of the Azure public cloud to on-premises data centers, edge locations, and any public cloud. Customers with investments in Azure can centrally manage and govern infrastructure running in varied environments.

Azure Resource Manager (ARM) is expanding its capabilities to support non-Azure resources running outside of the public cloud—and Azure Arc is the glue binding these external sources to ARM.
